RE: Spring 2004 Enrollment

The total enrollment at the third-week census date for the spring 2004 quarter was 13,822, an increase of 764 students (5.9%) over last spring.  This included 13,715 continuing, 21 new, 76 returning, and 10 visiting students. The fall-winter-spring three-quarter average headcount for the 2003-04 academic year is 14,376 (14,340 student FTE).  Including the students enrolled in the summer 2003 State funded Education Masters Program – the total student FTE for the 2003-04 academic year is 14,421.

This report includes a breakout of the numbers of students who were enrolled in off-campus programs including the Education Abroad Program, Intercampus Graduate Exchange Program, UC Washington D.C., and exchange programs with the Universities of New Hampshire and New Mexico.  During this academic year the average number of students attending off-campus programs was 289, resulting in a three-quarter average on-campus enrollment of 14,087.
