RE: Winter 2006 Enrollment

The total enrollment at the third-week census date for the winter 2006 quarter was 14,515, which is 77 fewer than the number of students enrolled in the winter of 2005. This included 13,961 continuing, 273 new, 280 returning, and 1 visiting students. The fall-winter-spring three-quarter average headcount for the 2005-06 academic year is projected at 14,475 (14,440 FTE). This is the first year of a two year phased State buyout of all sutnmer enrollments. This year included in our budgeted enrollments are 61 FTE Summer Education Masters students (funded in prior years), plus 349 FTE of general summer enrollment FTE. The addition of 410 total State supported summer FTE brings the total campus FTE estimate for the 2005-06 academic year to 14,850.
