Campus planning is based upon the 2005-06 Regents' budget and an assumption that the Governor will fund the Higher Education Compact with UC and CSU and that the Governor's budget will be supported by the legislature.

Governor issues 2005-06 State budget proposal
The 2005-06 state budget proposal issued by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger offers an increase in state funding for the University of California after four years of substantial cuts. Campus Provost makes available two new campus resource documents
In a continuing effort to make the campus's budget process more transparent, Campus Provost Margaret L. (Peggy) Delaney (and the Office of Planning and Budget) have posted two new resource documents. The UCSC Budget Handbook - An Overview of Funds Supporting UCSC (September 2004 draft for discussion) refines and clarifies the campus's operating budget processes and the principles by which resources are allocated and The UC Santa Cruz Budget - A Bird's Eye View (2004-05 Edition) provides an overview of the campus' 2004-05 budget (published November 2004).
