UCSC Data Warehouse

Since 1994 the Campus Data Warehouse at UC Santa Cruz has allowed campus staff to access and integrate information from various source systems. Campus staff can use the information in (1) analysis and decision-making, (2) providing standard and ad hoc reports to peers, and (3) meeting their unit's business objectives.

Data is received from a variety of campus systems including financial (FIS), budget (FMW), personnel (PPS), student (SIS/AIS), course audit (SCiiPI), facilities (FacLink), procurement (CruzBuy), and advancement/gifts (ADFS) and many more. Staff use InfoView™ (SAP Business Objects™) to write or run reports against the archived information. [Diagram]

UCSC's Data Warehouse offers a full suite of certified reports for each significant subject area to ensure information is interpreted consistently. Training courses are available to those who write reports. Staff are also supported by the Data Management Help Line x95083 or by emailing data-mgmt@ucsc.edu to request assistance.
