The Campus Welfare Committee (CWC) provides an administrative forum for discussions of key issues of concern to students, faculty, or staff in order to provide the necessary background material for informed deliberation.

Areas of focus include

• Understand and advise on the impact of planning decisions and priorities on the welfare of students, faculty, and staff.

• Identify issues, risks, and opportunities associated with campus planning initiatives that should be factored into the decision-making process.

• Raise issues of student, faculty, or staff welfare that are of importance to the campus community and assist with increased education and communication about these issues.

• Develop mitigations or alternatives, and/or recommend courses of action regarding campus welfare issues.

The CWC is expected to solicit and incorporate the views of relevant Senate committees and administrative advisory committees.

Key priorities for CWC during 2006-07 include childcare, change management for Transformation Initiatives, and campus climate.
