Executive Advisory Council Charge

The Executive Advisory Council (EAC) advises the Chancellor and Campus Provost/Executive Vice Chancellor on all areas related to campus academic programs, operations, institutional growth, etc. Areas of focus include:

• Provide a campus-wide, integrated perspective when evaluating policy recommendations, evaluating strategic choices and new initiatives/campus directions, making operational tradeoffs, and managing priorities.

• Inform central administrative planning and decision-making; help coordinate unit level planning with campus wide planning.

• Document the campus’ progress in meeting articulated goals, including those goals that make up the partnership between the University and the State.

The EAC will be assisted by six key committees that will meet on a regular basis.  These six committees will provide the necessary background information and material to enable informed deliberation within the EAC regarding major policy and operational issues.

Key Priorities for 2005-06:

1. Transformation Projects (including the BTP and IT transformations)

2. Academic Planning

3. LRDP

4. Campus Regional Centers (MBEST and Silicon Valley)

5. Student Engagement

6. State/Campus Budget
