The Information Technology Committee (ITC) provides an administrative forum for reviewing, evaluating, and
recommending strategies, plans, and policies for campus information technology
in order to support and advance the campus priorities.
Areas of focus include
-
Review and recommend the campus’ information
technology direction, capabilities, and strategic objectives—including
prioritization of information systems projects.
-
Identify opportunities where information technology
could assist the campus in achieving its goals (e.g., through process
redesign and technology assisted service delivery, through new learning
pedagogies and collaboration technologies, etc.); evaluate the readiness of
the campus to leverage such technologies.
-
Recommend the campus’ resource commitment to
information technology activities (computing, communications, information
systems, and learning technologies).
-
Establish measurable objectives for campus
(academic and administrative) information technology plans and undertake an
assessment of the effectiveness of access to information technology
resources including review of comprehensive plans, implementation strategies and planned service levels.
-
Identify issues, risks, and opportunities
associated with campus planning initiatives.
The ITC is expected to solicit and incorporate into its
recommendations the views of relevant Senate committees and
administrative advisory committees.
For questions about the ITC
membership and charge, please
contact the Office
of the Campus Provost.
