3. Update on campus web site revisions

· The Public Information Office, in collaboration with members of the campus community, has made major revisions to the campus home page and secondary pages. Key revisions will be presented.

· APC Chair Brown would like to initiate a discussion of how central administrative web publication services might be provided to divisions and departments.

4. Update on admissions publications

· The Student Affairs Division and the Public Information Office, in collaboration with representatives of the Campus Admissions and Financial Aid Committee, Cowell Provost Ladusaw, and others, have made major revisions to the hard copy admissions publications. A summary of these revisions will be presented, and progress on the ‘Admit Piece’ will be reported.

5. Departmental Requests to Admit Student Selectively to Majors (draft policy attached)

· CEP Chair Freeman will present a draft policy on selective admissions to the major.

6. Discovery Seminars (call attached)

· VPDUE Goff will present to the committee the status of the Discovery Seminars, slated to be inaugurated in winter, 2003. More information is posted: http://planning.ucsc.edu/vpdue/froshseminars/

7. Honors Programs (draft proposal attached)

· VPDUE Goff will present a proposal to designate incoming students as ‘Honors Students.’
