CAMPUS WELFARE COMMITTEE

Meeting of April 2, 2002

The Campus Welfare Committee met on April 2, 2002 from 2:00-4:00 pm in room 481 McHenry Library.

Present: Leslie Sunell (chair), Julian Fernald (staff), Mark Traugott, Marty Chemers, Jean Marie Scott, Barbara Brogan, Willeen McQuitta, Christina Valentino, Janelle Marines, Ed Titus.

Absent: Line Mikkelsen, Lee Ritscher, Bill Domhoff, Frank Talamantes, Bill Ladusaw.

Guests: Patti Hiramoto.

1) Campus Long-Range Planning and Resource Allocation Process

Based on the compiled feedback from individual committee members, Sunell, Chemers and Titus, agreed to draft the CWC response to Provost Simpson on the long-range planning update. It will be shared with the full committee for feedback and final approval prior to submission.

2) Housing Priority System (Scott)

Scott presented a draft process and timeline for the development of a recommendation for a Faculty/Staff Housing Priorities System. The process/timeline can be found at:

Much of the committee’s time for the remainder of the year will be devoted to developing the housing priority recommendation.
