Overview,
membership, and charge
The
Advisory Committee for Facilities is the forum where issues related to
the campus' buildings and physical infrastructure are discussed.
The specific elements of the committee's charge include:

Recommend
capital improvement program priorities

Formulate
campus space plan

Advise
on facilities proposals, including

Siting

Building
design
-
Acquisition
and lease of real property

Advise
on the management of the campus space resource
The
complete charge and membership to the
committee and subcommittees is available for review.
Meetings
and Notes
The
next scheduled meeting of the committee will be held Fall 2004. Agendas
and notes from previous ACF meetings are available. The committee
has developed general
information requirements for proposals that are submitted for review
or discussion.

Physical
Planning and Construction (PP&C) is undertaking a number of campus
physical planning studies during 2000-01 including a campus-wide habitat
conservation plan, north campus area plan, a series of campus infrastructure
studies, and a siting plan for the academic core buildings. These
studies will inform a number of the ACF discussions and the PP&C
web site provides the current status of each study.
