Overview, membership, and charge
The Information Technology Committee is the forum for reviewing, evaluating, and recommending strategies, plans, and policies for campus information technology.  The specific elements of the committee's charge include: 

• Identify strategic directions, capabilities, and objectives for campus IT support, including learning technologies
• Identify opportunities where IT can help achieve campus goals and recommend priorities
• Ensure a coordinated implementation of campus IT projects and initiatives

Meetings and Notes 
The next meeting of the committee will be held November 17, 2004.  Agendas and notes from previous ITC meetings are available.

Resources

The committee has compiled a list of resource documents for those interested in learning more about information technology planning issues facing the campus and higher education.

ITC Priorities 2003-04

The Executive Budget Committee has been working with AVCOR Consulting on a number of IT issues since the inception of the project early this year. ITC will be involved in the process as proposals and projects and move forward.

In addition to the EBC process, ITC will continue to review the Campus Wireless Policy, and the Electronic Communications Policy. ITC will monitor the progress of its working subcommittees: Network and Telecommunications Services Advisory Committee, Learning Technology Committee, and the Web Presence and Portal Readiness Committee.

ITC will continue to be updated on systems development activity such as AIS, Graduate Studies, Time & attendance, and the Recruitment Management system. Finally, the progress and plans for Campus IT infrastructure projects including the portal (directory and web presence), email, security, and data center will continue to be topics of discussion.
