In addition to its analytic support to the Chancellor and campus administrators, the Academic Planning and Analysis unit of Planning and Budget maintains the campus' five-year perspective of proposed new academic programs, provides support to the academic program review process, and assists academic units with their new program proposals.

WASC commends UCSC for progress since 2004-05 review
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) recently accepted UCSC's 2010 interim progress report, commending the campus on its progress on key issues identified by the review team during the 2004 reaffirmation of accreditation.
