Annual Budget Calendar

The core funds allocated in the annual budget process are incremental State General Funds, Opportunity Funds, Educational Fee Funds net of financial aid, and Registration Fee Funds.  These incremental funds account for approximately 2% to 3% of the campus’s core operating budget and are the focus of allocation decisions for new faculty, instruction and research support, institutional support, and new programs.  The process follows an annual cycle and resource allocation decisions are based on a combination of programmatic and formulaic considerations.

The campus has relied on an annual process that begins in the fall with early discussions concerning the new enrollment-driven resources that might be likely the following year, and ends late spring or early summer with allocation decisions.

This calendar is based on the assumption that principal officers begin the fiscal year with information on their resources before the start of the fiscal year.
